Creating a self-sustaining community for adults with special needs
The number of adults with special needs in the DFW area continues to grow year after year. While they are young, and in school, K-12, there are good programs in place to guide them through childhood, and adolescence. However, the real need arises once they complete high school and leave behind the programs that had played such a large part in their development.
Many parents do not know what to do next. Depending on the level of need, they may or may not be able to live independently, hold a job, or otherwise make a contribution to their community. This is where the Olive Branch comes in. This is where we excel in coming alongside our citizens and taking the next step with them in their life journey. More about our Mission and Purpose >>

OUR MISSION
The Olive Branch began with a simple idea and mission: To create and maintain a self- sustaining community for adults with special needs.
Our vision is that the Olive Branch will be a positive, safe, secure and nurturing environment for adults with special needs where they can develop their unique abilities into meaningful job skills while building friendships, independence and a sense of belonging and purpose

Spring Products By The Olive Branch
Citizens of the Olive Branch work year round in our Saturday day program creating products like the ones pictured here - providing a sense of purpose and responsibility to our citizens while also generating revenue for our program.
The Olive Branch began with a simple idea - to create a self-sustaining community for young adults with special needs. Currently we run a Day Program on Saturdays, but our long-term plans include a true community within a community. The Olive Branch community plans to include:
