During the first part of 2017, we've been hard at work building the behind-the-scenes business operations for the Olive Branch. With the support of our very generous donor base, we've been able to grow our Board of Directors, adding some great business people as board members and advisors. We completed our full business plan in late Spring 2017, and began working hard towards our goal of securing a Frisco location with character worthy of our special needs citizens. And we found it!
Our new home to begin our 5-Day-a-Week Work Program, is in old downtown Frisco just off Main Street at the corner of Oak Street and 3rd. See some great pictures below:
You can make this Dream a Reality...
Now that we have our space, we are hard at work building out the inside and outside in preparation for our 5-day-a-week Work Program. Our goal is to launch this for our Citizens sometime in the Fall of 2017. But we still have much to do to get it ready, and only YOU can help make this location a reality for our citizens. Here are some things we still need to get started:
Oak Street Needs
Greenhouses (2) and above-Ground Gardens (4)
Refrigerator / Microwave / Stove
Industrial Shelving Units
Work Tables and Chairs
Stone Walkway from Parking
Regular Lawn Maintenance
Monitored Security System and Cameras
Monument Sign for Front Yard
Salaries for Lead Instructor and 2 Assistants
Funding for insurance and benefits for staff
Our Citizens need your Financial Support
Our citizens are so excited to be able to begin working 5 days a week at the Olive Branch. Your generous financial donations will make it possible for our special needs young adults (citizens) to begin working, building friendships and community, and learning valuable skills in our Work Program.
When you donate, specify if there is a specific item you'd like your donation to go towards. Thank you for you support!! As always, every donation is tax-deductible and we will email you a donation receipt.
